Spring cleaning is a popular event when winter finally melts away. One common area of the house you may hit…your closet! This has a benefit for both people and animals. Take the clothes that no longer fit or that you no longer like, and bag them up. Drop those clothes off at your local Good Will. People get new clothes and you have a reason to replenish your wardrobe.

Replenishing that wardrobe can help your favorite rescue. How? Many rescues have t-shirts (and other styles of clothing) made with their logos on the front. So for the same $15-$20 you would spend on a new shirt at any store, you could get a new shirt that helps take care of an animal. Plus, you will have a conversation piece. Let everyone know who your favorite rescue is and all the reasons they are awesome!

Funny you should mention cleaning out your closet…I am putting together my closet in my new home.what a nightmare. I am beginning to think that I am a potential hoarder…but anyway, I have some very nice item..such as unused leather purses (the latest styles) shoes/boots I can not wear due to an accident..high heels that are no longer in my life. Maybe you can pick a shelter and have a big garage sale in their parking lot (of course all proceeds going to the shelter). I bet the shelter can even bring out some wonderful animals for potential adoption. I’m sure there are a lot of animal lovers who would love to donate some nice items for the benefit of the wonderful animals….
