We have returned to volunteering at SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary! As you can see, we’re very excited about this. So we thought we would share some photos of our first day back with our animal friends.

You can come out and meet them yourselves on May 18th (this Sunday) from noon to 4 pm. Admission fee is $10, kids 5 and under are free. Tour the farm, hang out with the animals and hear their stories, and tasty vegan food will be sold by Shimmy Shack.

May is….

May is National Pet Month. Like we need a reason to love, spoil, snuggle, or dote on our animals right? WRONG. I’m a firm believer that there is never an excuse too small to adore your pet. So an entire month dedicated to pets is an awesome idea! One month full of extra love isn’t much to ask. I mean after all, they spend the entire year, year after year, loving us without any excuse to do so.

Big, small. Furry or scaley. Pets enrich our lives. Why not take an extra 5 minutes every day to show your pet how much you appreciate them? It’s also a good reason to look into all the small ways you can help change the lives of pets waiting for a loving home. Waiting for that perfect person to love them and for them to love unconditionally. Hell, maybe it’s a good motivator to finally go adopt that cute animal you keep passing up at the shelter, who keeps yanking your heart strings.

Whatever you decide to do, just remember to love your pets. Because they love you and will give you every minute of every day they have. What’s 5 more minutes of your time to them?
